Telling the Family..

We kept it a secret that whole week and decided to tell my parents on Saturday. The plan was to tell mom and dad at the same time but dad messed up our plan just a bit. He had been at the lake that whole week and was planning to come back on Saturday but didn't. So, we decided to go ahead and tell mom and we would have to wait to tell dad. We couldn't keep it a secret anymore! We went to mom's that Saturday morning to tell her and to give her their very late anniversary present. I had these cards made and that's how we were going to tell everyone.

So, we gave her the gift first and then we gave her the card last. It took her a minute to get it too and then she began to cry. We were so excited to finally share the good news. I know mom is super excited to have a grandbaby that will be close and I know she will spoil him/her rotten.

We told Jamie's family on Sunday. We all went to lunch at Cosmo's and couldn't wait to tell them. When you go through such a struggle to have a child, you just can't wait to tell people. You want to tell everyone but you are scared. We just have to trust in the Lord that He will take good care of us through this whole process. To say they were excited was a slight understatement.

We were thrilled that the news was out and we still had to tell our dads. We left after lunch and headed down to the lake to tell my dad. We couldn't wait any longer and we wanted to see what the lake house looked like too. We gave dad the card and he was very excited too. It was a very special day and we were so thrilled to share the news with the grandparents. June 18th can't get here fast enough!
