Burkleigh Ann is one month..

It's already been one month!  Wow!  That was fast.  You are growing and changing every day! 

You are beginning to smile at us when we talk to you..although daddy says that doesn't count as your first official smile!  You smile in your sleep when we give you a bottle and you doze off.  It's so sweet.

Daddy and I just stare and stare at you and smile at each other.  We love to watch you sleep and all the sweet faces and noises you make. 

Last week, we took you the doctor to weigh you and you weighed 8lbs 7oz.  You are beginning to be a big girl!

Mommy has stopped nursing you during the day and I am pumping and giving you a bottle.  It is going soo much better.. you are such a big eater that I couldn't keep up with you!  YOu were soo fussy and I think mommy was starving you!  I've had to supplement with formula a little and we are trying to find the right one.  We gave you the sensitive one and you threw it up twice.. poor baby!  Scared mommy to death!  You are eating anywhere from 3-4ounces ever 3-4 hours.

We really wish you would take the paci all the time!  YOu are very wishy washy with the paci and your fingers/thumb.  Thanks to Aunt Shelly we got you a wub a nub and you like it okay.  We're gonna keep trying! 

*You slept through the night twice when you were two weeks old and you did it again last night.  10-5 so hopefully you will begin to do that more consistently!

Diapers:  You are still wearing newborn and size 1

Clothes:  premie outfits and newborn and some 0-3 months

Mommy smocked you this little daygown many years ago when I was learning to smock.  It's the one and only thing I ever made cause I just knew God was going to bless us with a baby girl one day that could wear it.  It's a little big but you looked so sweet in it.  I can't wait to make you more! 

You still haven't met your Aunt Heather, Uncle Chad and cousins.  They will be here this week and they can't wait to meet you! 

*Mommy and Daddy had our first night out and Mimi and Pops kept you while we went to dinner.  You were such a good girl.. you slept the whole time! 

*You are a good sleeper and you have gotten so much better about taking naps during the day since you are getting full now! 

We can't wait to see you grow and change each month!
