Burkleigh's first snow..

Last Thursday was a first for B.  It actually snowed.. and mommy was at school with 20 excited kiddos.  It was an interesting day to say the least.  B was with her Mimi and mom said she wasn't too impressed with it.  Doesn't surprise me.. I'm not a big fan either.  I think it's pretty to see and look at but I don't like going out in it.  It snowed a pretty good bit and I kept thinking we were gonna get out of school early but that never happened.  By about 2:00 that afternoon, it was really coming down hard and there was snow everywhere.
We snapped a few pictures when I got to mom's house but B was ready to get inside and eat her sucker.  ha!

Sweet Friends..

It was a girls weekend!  Friday night I went to dinner with some of my sweet teacher friends to celebrate Melanie's birthday.  I'm so thankful for fun friends and many laughs!  It was a great night!
Saturday night, we met our friends Becca and Kyle for dinner and the girls had a good ole time together.  They were too cute giving hugs and sharing their snacks while we waited on the food.
So thankful for these sweet friends and for our little girls.  I still don't know what I'm going to do when they move.  =(
Sweet best friends!

It's been a beautiful Sunday today and tomorrow is a day off work.  Can't get much better than that.
I love a four day work week!

Burkleigh dances

This video makes me laugh. It still amazes me that my 1 1/2 year old knows how to use my iPhone almost better than I do. She knows exactly how to get to things and is so funny! Never a dull moment around here!

IPhone Picture Dump..

Well.. this is my first post from my new MacBook!  I am still trying to figure it all out and boy is it different from my old PC.  Sigh..I know this thing is wonderful and I sure hope it changes my life.. ha but I'm having to learn a lot.  It's definitely different from what I am used to and change is not always easy so I know its gonna take some time to figure it all out.  The biggest thing is my pictures.  I photo is a lot different from Picasa where all my other pictures were stored and I'm having to sort through and try to organize.  It's really a headache but in the end I hope it will be worth it.  I have also paid for some classes at the apple store and I will be going to learn how all this works.  Any pointers from anyone?
What do you love?
Burkleigh had her first visit to the after hours clinic last week.  She broke out in a horrible rash and we noticed it after dinner when she was getting ready to get in the tub.  It started on her knee cap.  This picture is really awful but it was super red (almost like she had gotten burned) and there were little white dots all inside it.  After the bath, it had spread all over her little body and was everywhere.  It scared me to death and when I called the nurse she told us when needed to take her in.  So, at 7:45 we left to go to Children's South.  Thankfully, it wasn't anything too bad and they told us to just give her some benadryl.  By that time, it had already started to disappear in some places and reappear in others.  Not sure what it was.. a reaction to food or just a viral rash but it's pretty much gone now.  Although it did come back today on her foot.  But, she said it wasn't hand, foot and mouth.  I guess its just one of those weird things..who knows.
A blurry pic of her in the wagon at the doctors office.
We've had a pretty low key weekend and I'm thankful for some nice 70 degree weather yesterday.
We got to get outside and have a little wagon fun since B refused to nap.
We went and had lunch with our friends Becca and Lily and then went to the bookstore and B fell asleep in the car and when I went to move her would have nothing to do with going back.
Sigh.. so, it made for a long day but she was loving being outside.

Daddy went and got us an icee and she was loving it!  I think its her new favorite thing!
She also got to turn around in her car seat and I think she's loving it.  She seems to be a much happier little one in the car now and her little feet aren't so cramped either.  Yea for being a big girl!
She's really growing up fast!

Happy 2013..

2012 was a great year!  I know 2013 will be even better.  We will welcome another little princess to the house.  We rang in the new year at home with family.  My SIL, BIL, and sweet Reagan came over for dinner and dessert and the girls just played and played.  We didn't make it to midnight but it was a fun night! Thankful for our little bit to hang out with.  Hoping 2013 brings lots of smiles, happiness, laughter and good times together!

B does not like hats.. ha!

She loves some popsicles!

Sweet girls!

Christmas with Mimi and Pops..

Christmas take two!  B got a new baby from her Mimi and Pops.  It sucks the paci and moves it little eyes and makes noises.  She loves to feed the baby her bottle and juice.  She also got a new grocery cart that she loves and a new wagon.  She loves it all.  My sweet Nanny was also able to come over and spend Christmas day with us too and B absolutely loves her Nanny.  I'm so glad she has gotten to see her a lot more often than normal.  Thanks Mimi and Pop for making our christmas so fun.  B loves you both very much!

Nanny brought B a little baby bed that she had at her house that my mom played with when she was a little girl.  It is so cute.. It has a little blanket and a little toy for baby.  B loves it!

Christmas Morning 2012

Christmas morning was so much fun this year!  B loved all her presents from Santa.  It was so fun to see her little happy face and watching her get excited about her new things.  Christmas through the eyes of a child is just magical and I can't wait for next year with two little ones!
Santa brought B a kitchen, pots and pans, play food, books, vacuum, tea set, piggy bank, and a little car.
She loved it all!
This picture is my absolute favorite. She ran straight to the car and immediately looked back at me with this face like Thank you Santa!  It was priceless!
The car was the biggest hit for sure!  She loves it!

Checking out her new vacuum cleaner!

Daddy telling her about her kitchen
Sweet B and her daddy
She also got a new coloring tablet and crayons

She got some new jewelry in her stocking.. she loves it!
She got the book, Tickle Monster with the puppets and She LOVES it!
Such a great gift!  I love to watch her get so excited when we pull out the little gloves.
Checking out her new piggy bank..she loves money!
Cooking us some breakfast!
It was a fun morning for sure!  My parents were in Selma so they came over that afternoon to see what Santa brought and we did Christmas with them.  It was a yucky rainy day so I was thankful we didn't have to leave the house and go anywhere.  It was a great Christmas!

Christmas Eve..

Daddy had to work Christmas Eve and this year he was pretty late getting home.  B and I just hung out at home until Nana came over that night for a little bit.  She brought B her Christmas present, a new table and chairs set and B loves it!  It is soo cute and I know both my girls will get lots of use out of it.  Aunt Melissa and Uncle Jay come over too and the girls had fun playing together, coloring and eating the crayons.. gross!
Santa also made a visit through the neighborhood on the fire truck but B was not impressed.  She did not like the sirens...maybe next year!
