A Christmas to remember and Exciting news...

Christmas came early for us! Thursday was my 15 week doctors appointment and we got to see our sweet baby on the screen and find out what little one was. It was an exciting day for sure. The baby was moving all around, waving to us, and even trying to suck it's thumb.. just like momma! =) Jamie coudn't be there so mom and I turned our heads when she could tell the sex and she put the ultrasound pics in a sealed envelope for Jamie and I to open together that night. Here's a few that we did get to see cause we couldn't tell what little one was.

I couldn't believe I didn't peek and look. As soon as I got home, I wrapped the envelope up and then the waiting began. I tried to wait paitently all day.. and it was soo hard!

The best christmas present ever

When Jamie finally got home that night, I was dying to open it. He opened the box and then I immediately began to cry. I was so overcome with emotion. I couldn't believe this was really happening to us. We had waited so long for this and now it was finally here! God is so good!! Never doubt his timing or Him. He does have a plan!

About to open it..

As we opened the envelope together and opened the ultrasound, I couldn't believe it.. Our sweet little baby was... A GIRL!! I was soo excited. I have always wanted a little girl! My niece Hannah will have a little friend to play with and my sweet momma will be doing lots of sewing!!

We love you so much already!

Now we can finally call her "she" and we are working hard on the name too. We've almost got it narrowed down! We decided to wait and tell Jamie's side of the family all together on Christmas morning and they were so excited too!
Nana opening up her present!

Nana gave her the sweetest little gown that says "Life is a gift"
Of course, my momma couldn't wait that long. So, we called them that night and shared the news with my parents. We also called my brother and sister in law and told them. It was such an exciting day and one that we will never forget. The best Christmas present ever!! Thank you Lord for blessing us with this amazing little miracle girl! We can't wait to meet her soon!

Tomorrow's the big day..

We might find out this:

or this:

I am so excited, anxious, and nervous!! I go for my 15 week ultrasound visit tomorrow and there is a good chance that we can already know the sex of little one and I'm praying we do! I already have plans for how we are going to tell the family on Christmas Eve/Day and I hope we get to do it! If not, I'll be as excited in January as I am now. But, it will definilty make for an unforgettable Christmas! I just really want to see little one on the screen! I haven't had an ultrasound since I was 7 weeks and all I saw was a little peanut so I am hoping to see a baby this time! =) Since Jamie can't go with me, the plan is for me to turn my head if she can tell and we will open it together tomorrow night. (I sure hope I stick with the plan.) I will post the news Christmas day if we find out. I'm hoping for the best Christmas present ever! Merry Christmas to you and your family!

Christmas in Selma..

Sunday we spent the day with the grandparents in Selma. We had a good time. Nanny cooked a delicious lunch and we all got to catch up and visit. We always play games when we get together but this time we didn't. I guess there was too much entertainment. Nanny's neighbor who is elderly drove his car into another house. Thank goodness no one was hurt but it sure did cause a big scene. Since my grandparents live about 2 miles apart from each other, we usually get to see everyone when we go down. This time, my Grandma even came over to have lunch with all of us so that was a real treat. We had Christmas with both of them and then came back home. I hate we didn't make it to the cemetary to see my granddaddy but we will do that next time for sure! I just love my grandparents so much and thank God for them each day. They bring so much love and happiness to our family and I am lucky to have all 3 of them! Love you all!
Me and momma (I am 14 weeks)
The girls.. mom, me, Nanny
Us with nanny and pappy
We didn't get any pictures with grandma. =( Only 4 more days till Christmas. I can't wait! I am FINALLY finished with my shopping and now on to the wrapping!

Expecting...

A special delivery! Yeah! How cute is this ornament that my friend Melanie made?? I LOVE LOVE LOVE it and it looks so cute hanging on my tree. I couldn't wait to come home and find the perfect spot. Mel is so talented and crafty and we joke with her about leaving teaching and opening up a store. I don't think she'll ever do it but I would love to work there if she does! Thanks Mel for the adorable ornament. I'm sure you'll be taking orders after this!
And.. since we MAY find out next Thursday. (I'll be 15 weeks) I'm taking a poll.. what do you think we're having? Leave me a comment and let me know.. boy or girl! I would love to hear! My assistant principal did the pencil test at school today. He swears he is really good at this and has only been wrong twice and has done it a lot of times. It was so weird to watch him do it. It took a minute for it to swing then it went back and forth and turned in a circle then stopped. So crazy. It said BOY. He's gonna try it again tomorrow and we'll see what it says the 2nd time. Three co-workers have said GIRL and I guess I'm going with a GIRL too. Jamie won't say what he thinks. The only reason I think girl is because of all the chinese calendars and the heartrate. But, believe me.. we have waited and prayed and waited and prayed for this special little one that I will be thankful and blessed with either. I've always said I would love one of each! Just praying for a happy and healthy little one.

Christmas Craziness..

The madness has begun. Why is this time of the year always so crazy? It is my favorite time and I love everything about Christmas but it's been a crazy week for sure! The energy level at school has definitely been high and I think we are all ready for a much needed break. And this week has been extra crazy considering it is freezing cold here and we haven't been able to go out for recess AT ALL. Need I say more? I've been pretty exhausted every afternoon when I get home and I'm counting down the days till Friday at 1:00 when we get out. Woo hoo!! =)

Last night I went with my sweet friend Colleen to dinner for her birthday. Happy Birthday Colleen!! We had a fun night and got to catch up, laugh, and even do a little shopping. It was fun! Hate we didn't get a picture. This one is from my wedding.
We have also decorated the house up for Christmas.. a little bit. I didn't go all out this year.. I guess you could say lazy..but I'll say tired! =) But, we do have the tree up and a few other decorations.
I bought my cute stockings last year at Swoozies and didn't think to buy any extras. I've looked all over this year but can't find any so I guess the baby will get a different stocking. I've noticed that some of my blogger friends have different ones for their kids so I guess thats okay?? I am a matchy-matchy person and I hope that doesn't bother me to much. What do you think? Let me know if you happen to see these when you are out and about.
I've gotten a few new ornaments this year and I especially love all the pregnant ones.

13 weeks..

Pregnancy Highlights

How far along: 13 weeks
Size of baby: Baby H is 3 in. long, about the size of a peach.
Total weight gain/loss: I lost 2 lbs. last week at my dr. appt.
Maternity clothes: I have a few shirts and thankfully I have some sweet friends who have let me borrow some clothes. So far, I'm still wearing my regular clothes.

Gender: We may find out before Christmas!! I'm keeping my fingers crossed that little one will cooperate at my 15 week appointment.
Movement: I think I felt the baby for the first time last week. I'm not real sure since I don't know what it feels like but the nurse said it would feel like butterflies in your tummy and thats what it felt like. =)
Sleep: Good
Cravings: Apple juice and I can't eat a lot of sweets for some reason. It's weird..cause sweets are my weakness.
What I miss: Nothing at all!
Symptoms: Tiredness and some back pain
Best moment this week: Last week at my 12 week appt. I heard the heartbeat again and it was 150-160 so I'm wondering if the chinese calendar and the old saying about heartbearts are true. I guess we'll find out soon enough. I talked my sweet OB into letting me have an ultrasound at my 15 week appt. That will be 2 days before Christmas and I'm hoping we will find out what the sex is. What a special Christmas present if we can!

The baby crib..

Yeah! We have a crib.. not yet but we are getting it this weekend. I can't wait to get it and put it in the room. Hopefully, we will have the matching dresser too. We lucked up on this one and I am so thankful for my sweet friend Leah calling me and telling me about it. Her friend is selling it and I LOVE it. It is just what I was wanting. I'll post real pics this weekend but here is what it looks like.
It is the Manhattan crib from Bratt decor.
This is the cute dresser that matches.. hope we get that too!
Yeah.. it's becoming a little more real now! =) I'll be back soon with my 12 week pic and update!

War Eagle..

I thought this picture was pretty funny! Gotta love that win last weekend! And.. it is official... Cam Newton has been cleared by the NCAA and is eligible to play for Auburn. Woo hoo!! Soo glad all this mess is over with and hopefully the spotlight will get off him. He is an incredible athlete with amazing talent and he should 100% no questions asked win the Heisman this year. If he doesn't.. it's a shame. He is the #1 candidate in the running and he deserves to be recognized for his incredible efforts this year. My vote is Cam for Heisman!! Weagle.. weagle.. war damn eagle!! GO TIGERS!!
