Last Sunday, we decided at the last minute to go to the pumpkin patch. We were going to go this weekend but the weather seemed to be a bit colder and last Sunday it was in the high 70's. So, when B woke up from her nap we packed up and headed out to Old Baker Farm. We always take a field trip there with my class in December for the tree farm but I had never been in Oct. to the pumpkin patch. It is a little far for us but I'm so glad we went. B LOVED it. I knew we would be doing a lot of walking and these days she's not so much into her stroller. She would rather walk so we took our beloved Lion with us and she pushed that thing all over the place.
They had these cute little ride on tractors and she loved for daddy to push her in that.
Having a good ole time with lion.
My sweet mom got to come too. B had fun in the hay maze but of course wouldn't smile.
We missed my daddy though.
And.. her favorite part was probably the animals.. she LOVES all animals.
Our first hay ride together!
She was too funny in the pumpkin patch. When she found the one she wanted, she tried to pick it up.
Looking at all the pumpkins
Our little family
It was a fun day.. can't wait to do it again next year with 2 little girls! =)
Last weekend, we took B to Boo at the zoo. It was our first time to go and sister had a fun time. We got there around 5ish and stayed till about dark time. It got dark fast though. B loved riding the train that was all spooked out and just running around. She didn't want to ride in her stroller much. She had fun walking/running around everywhere and thankfully it wasn't so crowded since we went early. I was chasing her everywhere. She loved the animals too and she carried baby around with her the whole time. It was too cute. I look forward to continuing this tradition every year.
Fun on the train
Checking out the animals
Despite the looks on her face, she really did have fun.. she just wouldn't smile.
You are wearing a size 4 diaper. But some 3's still fit you.
You wear mostly 12 month clothes but some 18 months in pajamas.
You are getting so "big girl" too and your little personality is really coming out.
You still love Barney and watch him almost every morning.
You love my necklaces and bracelets and love to put them on and wear.
You love to open and close doors and hide behind them.. you think that is so funny.
You still don't say a lot of words.. we are trying really hard to get you to talk more and I know you know what we are saying and asking because you smile really big or you will do what I ask you to but you just won't talk much.
Lately, you've started saying, "Ah, yah, yah," and making lots of noises when we ask you if you can talk.
You will wave at everything and sign more for a lot of things but you just won't say the words.
You love to play outside in the cul-de-sac and when I saw here comes a car, you will come running back to me.
You will make the animal sounds for a horse, dog, pig, tiger and you can point to your head, nose, ears, tongue and feet.
You love dogs and all animals. You would pet anything but really love dogs.
You have started drinking orange juice and you love that.
You are climbing onto everything. We have to really watch you. You learned how to climb up on one of your toys and you love for someone to help you jump down.
You love shoes now too and will run to get your shoes everytime you want to go outside.
You love to brush your teeth too.
You love for us to read to you or sing to you.
You make the funniest faces and love to play peek a boo with us or Oscar.
You really love Oscar.
You are still not a great eater but you eat a lot of fruit. You love watermelon and grapes.
You love eating cereal out of the bowl too and you can feed yourself pretty good.
You love mac and cheese, spagetti, peas and carrots, anything sweet. Your favorite is M and M's and whatever we are eating. You snack a lot on goldfish, yogurt melts, teddy grahams, cheetos.
You had a juice box for the first time this month and you did really good drinking it from your juice box holder.
You still take a bedtime bottle of milk before bed. You refuse to drink milk from a sippy cup.
You tried to climb into your baby stroller and you loved it when we pushed you.
You are taking great naps lately...usually 3 hours sometimes even a little more.
You usually wake up around 8.. sometimes earlier, sometimes later and you don't go to bed until around 9 usually.
Your favorite toys right now are your little push toy we call "lion". Oh my word.. you love him and your little baby doll you got last Christmas. You take her everywhere too.
You sleep with bunny lovey and we can't go anywhere without her.
You do this funny thing with your eyes when you are being silly and you try to hide from us.. You will roll your eyes back in your head and just laugh at us. It's too funny.
You HATE to have your diaper changed, your clothes changed or your nose wiped. You do not like those!
You are just the sweetest thing to us and we love to see you grow up! I know you are going to be a great big sister!
You love little kids and your new thing is to hug them or touch their heads. It's too sweet.
You have the funniest little laugh.. it is so contagious and you constantly make us laugh!
This is just 2 weeks late but I wanted to make sure I had it..
How far along: 20 weeks
Size of baby: Baby H is about 10 1/2 ounces and 6 1/2 in long (about the size of a banana)
Total weight gain/loss: I had actually lost weight but I'm not sure how.. I am still eating and I'm definitly not trying to lose weight. My dr. was ok with it though and said I should pick it back up. I guess chasing a 16 month old will do that to ya.
Maternity clothes: mostly just the pants but I can still wear some of my regular clothes..
Gender: It's a GIRL!!! Yay! We are working hard on your name.
Movement: You are a mover and a kicker! I LOVE it. You mostly move at night but I feel you a lot during the day too. I think you are more active than sissy was.
Sleep: Pretty good..I love my noodle pillow
Cravings: not much.. but some sweets.
What I miss: Not much...
Symptoms: not a lot either. I feel pretty good!
Best moment this week: Seeing your little body on the ultrasound. It had been a long time since I had had one and finding out you were a girl!! The dr. said everything looked great on the ultrasound and we are thrilled. I am thankful that B will get to experience the bond between sisters. I always wanted that! And.. I'm excited that we can re-use a lot of things too. I can't wait to have two little girls all dressed alike. The next best thing to twins. =)
I have always wanted to do a gender reveal party and when I found out I was pregnant again I decided that I would go for it. It would be something special that baby number 2 could see one day. I had the best time decorating..and I tried to not go all out and it turned out really cute. We had mostly family over and a few friends and we ordered pizza, had popocorn, cookies, cake, and chocolate. It was such a fun night and I'm so gald we did it. Thank you to all who came to celebrate with us. I should have taken a picture of the cute invitation but we did ask our guests to wear either pink or blue depending on what they thought it would be. Of course, not everyone did but it was still fun! =)
Precious and yummy cookies that a girl in town made.
I LOVED the cake.. so fun!
The big reveal box..
The cute banner said Boy or Girl..
B and her Nana
Definitly more people thought boy!
Aunt Melissa, cousin Reagan and Nana.
And.. TEAM PINK wins!! Yay for another little princess!!! Can't wait to meet you little one.
We are thrilled to welcome another little blessing to the family. I'm so excited that B gets to be a big sister. I always wanted a sister so I'm really excited for her. I know they will be the best of friends. So sweet!
Friday.. October 12 was a special day for us. Not only did we find out the gender of our sweet baby number 2. Two years ago exactly to the day, I took a pregnancy test and found out I was going to be a mommy!! A day that I will never forget and now two years later, that day is still extra special. =)
I am a kindergarten teacher and mommy to two precious little girls, Burkleigh Ann and Maggie Charles. They are the light of our lives and we feel so blessed to be their parents. I have an awesome husband, Jamie and a naughty chocolate lab, Oscar. I love reality TV, a good book, caramel frappe's from McDonalds, the beach, Ann Taylor Loft, Joe jeans, cherry limeades, being a mommy and an aunt, sweet tea, Auburn football, all desserts, anything pink, my camera, my family, friends, and most importantly God.
